This summer, we will have two opportunities to share God’s love with those less fortunate in a real concrete way. We will be packing pencil boxes for Rohingya children in Milwaukee and we will be packing lunches for children in the Milton, WI area.

Refugee Pencil Boxes

In our ongoing partnership with Devon Oasis, we are packing pencil boxes with much needed school supplies for the Rohingya children in Milwaukee. Come pack pencil boxes full of school supplies directly after church on Saturday, July 24.  School supplies will
already have been purchased – do not bring your own.

When?  Saturday, July 24, directly after church.
Pack for half hour.

Who can help?  Men, women and children – 150 boxes to pack.

Where?  In the Fellowship Hall, lower level at church.

Thank you to Lynnette Millard for “super shopping” for the items and to Tara Rotzoll for de-packaging and organizing the supplies and set up for our event.

It’s Lunch Time – One Apple Lunch Bunch, That is!

Once again we have the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus right here in the Milton Community as we prepare and serve lunches to Milton area children this summer.

The One Apple Lunch Bunch program, sponsored by the Milton United Methodist Church, relies on volunteers from many community organizations to prepare and serve lunches to kids during the summer when the school district’s free and reduced lunch program is not being served.

Many families rely on this service to help them provide food for their families.  Our church has partnered with this group for several summers now.  The time commitment to serve is small, but the impact on families is significant.

This year we will be preparing and handing out lunches Aug. 9 – 12^th, Mon. thru Thurs. (Thurs. lunches include enough for Friday, too).  Lunches will be given out in 2 locations this year – North Goodrich Park and Lamar Park.  Our church family will need volunteers each of these 4 days to feed the children.

10:00-11:15 – 2 people to prepare and pack the lunches Milton United Methodist Church

11:30-12:00 – 2 people at North Goodrich Park to hand out lunches

12:15-12:45 – 2 people at Lamar Park to hand out lunches 2 people could do all 3 jobs in one day, if they are available, or we can split up work.  Whatever works best for you!

Not only will you be helping the children in Milton, but you will also get the chance to connect with a fellow church family member that you are working alongside with that day!  We hope you have the chance to join us for the One Apple Lunch Bunch this year.
