A Disciple Knows Jesus, Part 1

A disciple knows Jesus because Jesus has made himself known. John 9:8-18.

1. Jesus came to enlighten the world about God
   1. Jesus is THE light that gives light to every other light.
   2. Jesus reveals the true nature of God.
   3. The light is the Word of God who is Jesus.
   4. The light is not received as illuminating by everyone but blinding to those who do not receive it.
2. The world is incapable of knowing Jesus on its own
   1. Without Christ, we are blinded by the gods of this world.
   2. Truly knowing God results in worship.
   3. All who receive Jesus become children of God who know God personally.
3. Spiritual habit which leads to knowing Christ.
   1. Seek to know Jesus through his Word.
