Our Vision

We are a community of ordinary people who have been transformed by the extraordinary person of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we connect people to Jesus and equip them to be his disciples. In all things we seek to live for the glory of God.

Our Covenant

Having received salvation by the grace of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, we covenant:

  • To pursue a relationship with God which grows to know him and his grace more,
  • To obey the commandments of God because of our deep and abiding love for Him,
  • To meet for worship on the Sabbath and to support the program of the Church,
  • To give in service to God a fair proportion of our time, abilities, and material possessions in the belief that these are given to us as a trust from God,
  • To watch over each other for good and to pray for each other to the intent that we may grow in wisdom and spiritual understanding.

Our Values

Who does the Lord want us to be?

Christ-Centered

Jesus is at the center of our lives. Knowing this, we seek his glory, follow his will, and depend on his redemption.

Characterized by Love

As God loves us, so we love each other and are faithfully committed to develop trust and pursue reconciliation.

Faith Filled

We live by personal trust and reliance upon the Lord in all aspects of our daily lives.

Truth Seeking

We seek to speak the truth, live by the truth, and be transformed by the truth which is the revealed by the Word of God.

Gospel Focused

Jesus is our only hope in life and death, which compels us to share the Good News with all people.

Servant Hearted

We look for opportunities to serve one another and the world recognizing that to serve is to be like Jesus.

Moved by Compassion

We respond to those that are hurting, both on the inside and the outside, giving special attention to those that need special care.

United in the Spirit

Though diverse, we are one body called to be united in Christ through the Spirit.

Our Principles

How do we serve together?

Word Directed

We believe that the Bible is the truth, reveals God to us, and guides our actions in all things.

Spirit Led

The Spirit who lives in all who trust Christ guides us to live out the truth of God’s Word.

Kingdom Minded

We look intently to find God at work around us and adjust our lives to work with Him for the glory of Christ.

Team Oriented

We affirm the necessity of utilizing varying gifts and abilities to work together as a team with many parts.

Ministry Empowering

We equip people to serve the Lord in the context of God’s family based on their gifts and callings.

Transparent in Communication

We share the truth in love in an open environment of communication except when issues of confidentiality are necessary.

Faithful in Stewardship

We are responsible to faithfully manage our resources, time, and effort, recognizing that God’s resources far exceed our own.

Marked by Prayer

We seek God’s will in every decision through prayer – our first response, not our last resort.

Old members picture

Since 1840 the members of the Milton Seventh Day Baptist church have been sharing together in the life and ministry of Christ. Much has changed over the years, but what has stayed the same is an ongoing faith, love and devotion to Christ.

Church group

The Lord Jesus brings together people to do life together in such a way that the world around will see his glory and greatness. The vision, values, covenant and principles of the church help to focus us on what is most important for that to happen. If you are looking for a church family to belong to, we invite you to take a look at how we do life together and to ask the Lord if he would have you be a part of his life and ministry with us.
