Faithful Stewards

29 Oct 2024, by John Pethtel in Newsletter, Uncategorized

As The Connecting Church – Milton SDB, our buildings are more than just bricks and mortar; they’re a sacred space where we gather to worship, learn, and, of course, connect. Just like any home, our building requires ongoing care and attention to ensure it continues to serve our mission effectively. This month, I want to highlight continuing building needs we’re facing and explore ways you can be a part of stewarding our precious space for future generations.

Maintenance and Repairs:

Over time, wear and tear is inevitable. We are currently looking at addressing issues such as flooring, roofing, windows, lighting, heating and cooling, and more.

Accessibility Improvements:

We are committed to ensuring our buildings are accessible to everyone. This includes potential upgrades to the elevator, ramps, doorways, and restroom facilities to accommodate individuals with varying abilities.

Technology Enhancements:

To support our weekly gathered worship as well as our streaming, we are exploring upgrades to our audio-visual systems. We are also looking at upgrading security features for our entrances.

Space Utilization:

As the use of our building and our community changes, we will need to re-evaluate our space allocation to better accommodate ministries and programs, potentially involving minor renovations or repurposing of existing rooms.

How You Can Be a Faithful Steward and Partner in Ministry:

Financial Contributions:

Your generous donations, whether through a one-time gift or ongoing giving, are vital to funding necessary repairs and upgrades.

Volunteer Time:

We welcome your skills and talents to help with maintenance projects, cleaning, and beautification efforts.

Sharing Your Ideas:

Do you have suggestions for how we can better utilize our space or improve accessibility? Share your thoughts with the Operations Pastor.

Prayerful Consideration:

Remember to pray for wisdom and guidance as we navigate these building needs and make decisions that best serve our community.

Together, we can ensure our buildings remain a welcoming and functional space for generations to come, reflecting our commitment to responsible stewardship of the resources entrusted to us.
